Faith is certainty. Faith is knowledge. Faith is
apprehension. Faith says it is done even when things do not
appear that way. Faith says “It is Written” (Mt4:4) and because
man wrote it inspired by the Holy Ghost, it is a given and we rest in
faith. If we would just believe the word regardless of how we
feel or what we think we would make great progress in the things of
God. The devil seeks to devour and by saying “It is Written” and
quoting the word of God the devil is forced back to the pit from whence
he came. God can not lie but He also can not honor unbelief
because unbelief is sin. Until we get to the place where we
simply believe His word not matter what we are facing, trusting in Him
in absolute confidence, we will not see the word become the Truth that
it is. On the cross Jesus also said “It is Finished” (Jn19:30). Can you imagine anything simpler and more profound that telling the world that everything He came to accomplish was completed. “It is Finished” means that salvation is complete. Healing, deliverance, prosperity, and victory were won when he entered his Passion and gave up his life on the cross for you and for me. Because “It is Finished” we can rest in complete assurance that we are saved and our eternal destiny secured by faith in the work of Christ. Not only that but when we pray for the sick and pray for the lost and preach the word and ask for the Holy Ghost, “It is Finished”. What we ask for we will receive because “It is Finished” and we rest in faith. Jesus says if you ask anything in my name I will do it. Why will He do it? Simply because “It is Finished”. The message of the gospel is that by confessing with the mouth and believing in the heart you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Rom.10:9-10). So we confess “It is Written” and we confess “It is Finished” and we believe in our heart and it will be done. When we are dead to self, the flesh, and the world belief is simple, but we must be free. Begin to exercise your faith by telling the devil “It is Written and It is Finished” and you will begin to walk in faith, in love, and in victory. Amen. |
