| Do you know why the church is weak? The
church is weak because it tries to conquer the outside world before it
has conquered the inside world. The church is weak because it is
double minded. Faith, hope, and love, the kingdom of God can be likened to wind, the sail, and the ship. The wind is the faith that gives power to the word. It is the substance of things hoped for. The sail is the hope that the word provides. These are the promises of God. The ship is the kingdom of God, the evidence of things not seen. When our conscience lines up with the word and we believe it and not the lies of the devil, the author of lies, then what has to follow is a ship that reaches its destination. The kingdom of God bears fruit. As facts stand however, Satan, the author of lies, has power in the world. We learn to believe things that contradict the word and therefore, the kingdom is not realized. When the author of lies puts into our conscience that we are no good, that we should have fear and doubt, that we should resent our upbringing and not forgive, the force of that wind drives the ship in the wrong direction. We can not allow ourselves to give power to those words. If we do, we are what James calls a ship tossed by the waves of a storm and we do not get what we pray for. We must recognize the voice. If it is God, than we must put our faith in it, and speak it, and act on it, if we recognize it to be the voice of the author of lies, we must reject it and speak only the word. When we line ourselves up with the word of God, we will only believe the truth and not the lie and we will have clear sailing. Our conscience will be clear and we will manifest the kingdom. Gain the victory in the inner world and you will gain victory in the outer one. Amen |
