Praying with Nature
03/06/2013
George Poulo

As the light shines on a meadow
Without disturbing a blade of grass
So let your light shine in me
Bringing radiance and beauty
That for all eternity will last

As the light shines on a lake
Not disturbing a ripple of water
So let your light shine in me
Bringing wisdom and understanding
To set your people free

As the wind blows through the trees
Making music with the leaves
Let the wind of your Spirit
Blow through me
Giving evidence of your grace and truth
Echoing the Spirit's plea

As the wind blows over the sea
Shedding a mist that refreshes the soul
Let the rain of your Spirit
Revive and replenish
Making all of God's people whole

As the dew soaks the grass
After a long night's sleep
Let your Spirit drench my life
With the glory from above
And from the world a harvest reap

As the sun dispels darkness
Without words or sound
So let your Spirit within
Dispel the shadows of sin
By the silence of your presence
That the sinner may be found

Let me learn from God's creation
How to save the pagan nation
By listening and  always learning
What nature and the Spirit is discerning
Thanks be to God

Amen
