Mouse Based Copying of Text
uCon attempts to support mouse-based copying (to the clipboard) of text on the main window. It is admittedly very limited; nevertheless useful if you know what it can and can't do. Here's the scoop on what is supported...
Using left button to copy text:
A second "double-click" operation is also useful to have uCon copy whatever text is whitespace delimited around the position of the cursor at the time of the double click. This too requires the "Enable Character Attributes" box to be checked if you want the text to be highlighted.
For both of the above operations, you can see what is actually copied to the copy buffer if you enable the trace window (Miscellaneous->SystemTrace dialog or the 8th tool button from the left).
Copying the entire scroll buffer:
Note: As of Mar 2007, there is a "one-click" step for this in the floating pulldown menu (accessed with the right button when over the console window). Just right click and select "Edit Screen Buffer" and the entire content of the screen buffer is transferred to a temporary file and the configured editor is opened up on that file.
